Children everywhere are going back to school. Guess what? So are we! We are beginning a year long course entitledDiscipleship 101. We will start with a five week sermon series titled Church 101. In this series we are reviewing the membership vow to faithfully support the church by our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness. This is the first vow: PRAYERS. In our lesson from Luke 14:25-33 , Jesus makes his expectations for those who want to follow him very clear. The church also has clear expectations of its members. How are we doing living into these expectations? Are we living into the promises we made? Are We a Bunch of Liars, or Not? Perhaps it is time to do some soul examination and reaffirm our commitment to follow Christ and our commitment to the church. Listen as we begin Church 101!
