Jesus’ final prayer was “that they (meaning followers of Christ) may all be ONE”. But are we completely one? Not according to the headlines in the news. Even the church can fall victim to division and strife. In fact sometimes the church has led the way in terms of how “not to get along”. But the call of Christ is for the church to be ONE. It is time for the church to stand up, unite, and teach the world a thing or two about how to live and work together. Where do we start? We start at the Lord’s Table. We break the one loaf and drink from the one cup and then we go to be ONE with Christ, ONE with each other, and ONE in Ministry to All the World. Read Jesus’ prayer – John 17:20-26 and then ask, will I be an answer to his prayer? Will we as a church be an answer to his prayer? May we be completely ONE!
