have you ever been rejected, turned down, or discouraged in your work for the Kingdom or dismissed by someone in an attempt to share the Good News? Well you can rest assured that you are not the first. Jesus knew rejection. He even experienced it at the hands of his own faith community. As we work to share the Good News of Jesus Christ we will at some point face rejection and / or cause offense. Perhaps not intentionally, but it will happen. The question is when it happens how will we respond? Will we quit or will we press on? Hear the story of Jesus’ experience with rejection from Mark 6:1-13 and see how Jesus handles it. Then hear a call…a summons to press on no matter what; hear a call to be “Offensive” for the sake of the Gospel…to be “Offensive” in a positive, useful, helpful, and God-honoring way.
